I am a 16 years old Malaysian teen who is dreaming of going to USA to study and live there since I am a child. Due to my pro USA stance, I sometimes have some disagreement with my schoolmates who are not as like-minded as me.

However, recently I am shocked to hear the tragic Sandy Hook school shooting spree that took 26 innocent lives. This made me to rethink going to USA according to my plans and made me became scared that whether I will be the next victim of the next shooting spree if Mr President hasn’t ban firearm sales to people with troubled background. So, I, together with WE THE PEOPLE, hopes that Obama will ban firearms sales to these people for a BETTER and SAFER future.

Your FB page shows Feb 17 as the date for the Kids March. That date is already established for a large environmental rally. I suggest that you plan a date when the schools have Spring break so students may easily attend particularly if they are being bussed from across the country. You’ll also need to establish a date far enough out so groups can get organized, sign people up, arrange for transportation etc. We all desire a big showing so the media and congress can’t ignore this effort.

Here is an idea, how about asking Greyhound and Amtrak to let children ride free from wherever to DC for the event? How are you using the volunteers? I would be happy to help in any way I can.

I wanted to confirm the date of the march, Feb. 17, the time, and the location? I would like to promote it in my community but I want to have the specifics and to know that this is going to happen. I live in Maplewood NJ and will go to work. Have all the permits been secured, guest speakers….

I grew up in Monroe, CT (next to Newtown) & one of my classmates lost her son. I spoke at a rally in DC & am willing to speak if you need people.

Also, when are you finalizing the date? There is another march Jan 26th.

David this is a great idea and I signed up immediately, but no one has heard anything in weeks. You have a cool logo, website and FB page, but they are all news stories that other similar anti-gun sites have posted. We are looking to 1M child march to provide info on your progress so we can make plans. What’s up with the parks service permit? is this all happening? There’s a great group in DC that you should really link up with as they can be your eyes and ears on the ground (Project to End Gun Violence). Would be glad to help you.

This is an excellent idea. Please coordinate and hold on the same date and time as the January 28 march so resources are united… We all need to stand together.
